After winning a title for the Philadelphia Eagles, here is a ranking of Derek Barnett and other Tennessee football Volunteers’ Super Bowl performances.

As you saw in a post last week, the Super Bowl and Tennessee football go hand in hand. The Vols lead the SEC in number of all-time players put in the Super Bowl, and they continued that tradition with Derek Barnett Sunday night.

Barnett, meanwhile, delivered. He made a historic play the puts him at legendary status among former Vols in the NFL, recovering a Tom Brady fumble to clinch the championship for the Philadelphia Eagles. Vols fans remember all too well how he steps up in the biggest moments. He did it again Sunday.

Such a huge play all of a sudden brings to relevance all of the former Tennessee football players who had memorable Super Bowl performances. With so many having played, it’s only natural some would have a great game.
