Tennessee Vols football head coach Jeremy Pruitt attributed the rash of injuries over the past two years to two things: their size and their practice habits. Pruitt noted that they would have to teach the players how to practice. Here’s a bit of what he said.

"“Back when I played, we were on the ground every dadgum play. So what’s happening? You get people on the ground who get rolled up on ankles, knees and all that. You don’t practice that way. To me, you can be a great tackling team by learning how to thud — O-linemen, D-linemen.”"
