The Tennessee Vols men’s basketball game against the Florida Gators and their Final Four chances lead our Periscope video show for Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018.

Tennessee Vols men’s basketball is the topic of our discussion for today. With the Florida Gators coming to Knoxville tonight, previewing the match-up is our major focus. At the same time, though, we have a bigger picture to look at.

There is a bit of football talk to bring you, but the focus right now is the stretch run of both basketball seasons. And since the Lady Vols don’t have any updates for us today, we’re going to spend the time focusing on the men.

So here is our Tennessee Vols daily video show once again. As always, you can see a summary of what we talked about below.

1. Is Florida a given for Tennessee basketball?

The Vols are hosting the Gators, and the Gators are reeling after a loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores. But this team was once the best team in the SEC earlier this year. And they are much better than people think. I break down how they could catch the Vols napping if Rick Barnes’s team is not careful.

2. What could Tennessee do in the NCAA Tournament?

Bracketology projections have the Tennessee Vols as a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and at the same time, they are the top team outside of the Top 3 with the chances of making a Cinderella run to the Final Four according to a recent simulator. Is that legitimate? We break it down.

3. Tennessee football 2019 recruiting is underway.

We’re going to preview this more in the future. But in this post, I talk about the deep crop of in-state guys the Tennessee Vols are targeting along with the players in-state who are crucial. This year, there is a ton of in-state talent, even better than last year.
