NCAA FBI scandal and upcoming Tennessee Vols basketball games are the focus of our Volunteers periscope show for Friday, Feb. 23, 2018.

It’s an ironic day for the Tennessee Vols. After a decade of basketball scandals, they were not named in the NCAA FBI scandal that Yahoo Sports reported on Friday morning. That’s pretty impressive, and it is the heavy focus of our news coverage for today.

However, the men’s basketball program is not the only story. We have a preview of the weekend for men and women to talk about as well.

And there is some football recruiting news still for the 2018 class to bring you. So let’s get started to kick off the weekend.

Here is our All for Tennessee video show for Friday, Feb. 23. As always, you can see our summary of things below.

1. Tennessee basketball left out of NCAA FBI scandal.

The Tennessee Vols were not named in the FBI scandal that hit numerous schools, including multiple SEC schools. Being left out is a testament to the job Rick Barnes has done in Knoxville. However, Barnes does have a connection to it. And I go into detail on why Vol Nation should not brag too much about it.

2. Men’s and women’s basketball previews.

The Tennessee Vols men’s basketball team visits the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday. Then the women host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday in their regular season finale. I preview both games and what they mean to each team.

3. Tennessee football in the market for graduate transfer QB.

The Tennessee Vols are still pursuing a graduate transfer at quarterback for the 2018 season. As a result, Stanford transfer Keller Chryst is visiting this weekend. Garner Minshew of East Carolina is also in the running. However, I go into detail as to why the Vols should not waste their time with either player for this year.
