The Tennessee Vols’ huge win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs leads our Volunteers video periscope show for Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018.

It’s a day of good news for Tennessee Vols basketball. So, as a result, that is obviously going to be the focus of what we talk about in our periscope video show.

We’ll recap a huge men’s basketball win from Tuesday night and discuss what it means for the Vols going forward. At the same time, we’ll talk about the proven depth of the Lady Vols based on the recognition they received ahead of the SEC Tournament.

Finally, we’ll talk about a feature we did Tuesday on football. So with that, here’s our video show for today. As always, you can see our summary of things we talked about below.

1. Tennessee Vols score huge win at Mississippi St.

Tennessee basketball got maybe its best win of the year by dominating the Mississippi State Bulldogs by over 20 on the road Tuesday night. With that win and Auburn’s loss, they now are tied for first in the SEC with a shot at the regular season championship. That made Tuesday an amazing night for the Vols. And where they are now is a testament to Rick Barnes’s coaching.

2. Tennessee Lady Vols all over postseason recognition.

Two Tennessee Lady Vols made first-team All-SEC, two more made All-Freshman, and one made sixth-woman of the year. That shows you how good this team can be if everybody does play together.

3. Some Tennessee Vols give Jeremy Pruitt a chance to win early.

This is supposed to be a rebuilding year for Tennessee football. But we have a post up listing the number of players on the roster who have already proven themselves, and they all give Pruitt a chance to have a good first-season in Knoxville. It’s not likely, but these guys make it possible.
