A recap of the men’s and women’s Tennessee Vols basketball seasons and spring practice lead the Volunteers periscope show for Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

Happy spring! The end of Winter could not represent a better time of transition for the Tennessee Vols, and that’s the topic of our video show for the day.

Of course, the dramatic shift in conversations appear to be reflected in the weather. After all, tornadoes in the South and heavy snow from the Mid-Atlantic to the Northeast has much of the U.S. in complete freak-out mode.

But this post focuses on those changes in sports. So let’s begin. Here is our All for Tennessee video periscope show for Tuesday, March 20, 2018. As always, you can see our summary of things we talked about below.

1. Tennessee basketball season’s end.

We didn’t get to talk about this on Monday, but it must be discussed for closure. The Tennessee Vols had a brutal ending to their season in Saturday’s loss to the Loyola Chicago Ramblers. The loss hurts doubly because UT blew a golden opportunity to reach the Elite Eight. On top of that, it raised longstanding questions about Rick Barnes in the NCAA Tournament.

2. Tennessee Lady Vols season ends as well.

Even more of a shocker was the Tennessee Lady Vols’ season coming to an end. The loss to the Oregon State Beavers was their first home loss in the history of the NCAA Tournament and the second year in a row they failed to reach the second weekend. Holly Warlick’s reaction made it worse, and it’s seriously time to start discussing what to do with her.

3. Tennessee football follows up pro day with spring practice.

The Tennessee Vols ended pro day on Monday with a few interesting notes. And they follow that up with spring practice on Tuesday. The two are connected in this way: Pro day exposed how badly misused some players were by Jones. Spring ball will show us how Jeremy Pruitt uses some of his talent.
