The Tennessee Vols missing out on Anfernee Simons and Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady lead our Volunteers periscope show for Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Crazy weather across the United States was bringing in spring of 2018 over the past few days. But now, on the third day, spring practice is underway and things are settling down for the Tennessee Vols. And that’s reflected in the weather.

Of course, there’s still a good bit of news to get to. Both basketball seasons have just finished, but the men suffered another loss today on the recruiting front. That news broke this morning, and we break that down on our video show.

Also, thanks to ESPN’s list of most dominant athletes, we rekindle the Peyton Manning and Tom Brady debate. Spring practice stories are a topic as well.

So let’s get started. Here is our All for Tennessee Periscope video show for today. As always, you can see our recap of things we discussed in the list below.

1. Anfernee Simons heading to NBA

Tennessee basketball lost out on a five-star combo guard who is eligible for the NBA Draft. Anfernee Simons announced his intention to enter the draft Thursday. However, there are reasons that this may not be such a bad thing for Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Vols. I get into why that’s the case on this show.

2. Peyton Manning – Tom Brady debate rekindled

Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Peyton Manning made headlines when he was listed as a more dominant NFL athlete than Tom Brady over the last 20 years by an ESPN ranking. However, there are numerous reasons for that, and I go into why ESPN was right to do that.

3. Spring practice under way for Tennessee football

Jeremy Pruitt began spring practice for the Tennessee Vols Tuesday, and there are things we need to get to. One is what Quay Picou no longer being with the program means. We also talk about Princeton Fant’s switch to running back and differences between Pruitt and Butch Jones.
