After an exceptional season for the Tennessee basketball program, the offseason begins, and the Volunteers have some things to work on.

The college basketball season is over, and now the Tennessee basketball team turns to the offseason and questions start to arise on how a team can improve. What parts of the team need improvement? Are there aspects of each players game that needs to change or improve? Can the coaches do anything better to improve the team?

All these questions circulate not only within the program, but fans have their opinions as well, and we have ours.

This past season was a successful season. The Vols went 26-9 overall and 13-5 in the SEC. That 13-5 record was good enough for Co-Champs of the regular season and a two seed for the SEC Tournament.

If you disagree you’re with A.) a troll, looking to disagree with anyone and everyone, B.) you don’t know the game of basketball or C.) you didn’t watch many games this season. Disagreeing with me and having your own opinion is fine but on this topic, I’m sorry, you’re wrong.

However, that doesn’t mean Tennessee doesn’t need to fix some things during the offseason. That’s what every team works toward, right? Perfection.

Next year’s team will include everyone (maybe) except James Daniel III who was a senior. I also say (maybe) because Admiral Schofield entered his name into the NBA draft. Schofield didn’t hire an agent, so he can work out for NBA scouts and if he doesn’t hear the news he wants to hear he can come back to Tennessee.

In my personal opinion, Schofield will play in the NBA one day, but I think we see him back in an orange and white jersey next season.

So that leads us to our list of five things for the BasketVols to work on this summer.
