NFL Draft: 5 best landing spots for Rashaan Gaulden
I know it hurts to see the New England Patriots as a potential spot for Gaulden, but the Patriots secondary was awful and that is putting it nicely. I am sure they are out there, but I have never met a single Tennessee fan that is also a Patriots fans. The whole Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady discussion has turned fans away from New England.
Despite having a horrible defense the Patriots still made it to the Super Bowl. New England gave up 251.2 passing yards a game and looked like the Vols by making opposing quarterbacks look like Hall of Famers.
What defensive backs are on the Patriots roster?
The only cornerbacks listed on New England’s roster are Stephone Gilmore (South Carolina), Cyrus Jones (Alabama), Ryan Lewis (Pittsburgh), and Jomal Wiltz (Iowa State).
Gilmore struggled in the first couple of games with the Patriots but stepped up in the last part of the season. Gilmore has had success in the league with 16 interceptions in his seven-year career.
What picks do the Patriots have?
The Patriots have a third-round pick and two six round picks so Gaulden landing in New England would be a stretch, but you never know what could happen in the NFL Draft.

Rashaan Gaulden will make an NFL roster next season; it just depends on what round and what city. One thing is for sure; whatever team decides to take a chance on him they will be getting a player that will come in and put in the work to be great. Gaulden can be a nice cornerback or safety in a couple of years in the NFL.
