Jeremy Pruitt discusses spring – The Nation, WNML

Tennessee football head coach Jeremy Pruitt spoke with Chris Low and Austin Price Sunday night about spring ball. He doubled down on his talk of fan support and spoke about addressing some of his players’ shortcomings along with the work they have to do this spring. Here’s a bit of what he said about his first spring on Rocky Top.

"“I think there was a lot to learn, a lot for the kids to learn that was, you know, our standard, our expectations and how to do a lot of things. I think we made lots of strides there. We’re starting to figure out how to practice, how to compete, the expectations of every drill, so I think moving forward, there won’t be as big of a learning curve in the summer and Fall camp.”"

Tennessee softball falls to Alabama – David Cobb, Times Free Press

The Tennessee Lady Vols softball team fell to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Monday 4-0. However, they still managed to take the series. Tennessee is now 40-9 and 10-8 in the SEC while Alabama is 28-15 and 8-10 in the SEC.

"Tennessee hosts Kentucky in a three-game series for senior weekend beginning Friday, although it likely will not be the last time the Lady Vols play at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium this year. Tennessee has positioned itself to potentially be one of 16 teams in the country to host an NCAA regional next month."

Tennessee baseball hosts Tennessee Tech – UTSports

After a surprise series victory over the No. 14 ranked Texas A&M Aggies this past weekend, the Tennessee Vols baseball team completes a four-game homestand with a midweek match-up against the No. 20 ranked Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. This is another huge test for Tony Vitello’s 24-18 team. The game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

"The Volunteers will be looking to win their sixth consecutive midweek contest and improve to 11-2 overall in midweek games this season. That will be no small task as the Golden Eagles enter Tuesday’s game with the nation’s longest active winning streak with 25 straight victories."
