2. 2006-07 vs. Texas

To be honest, this game could have easily been number one on the list. And, it wasn’t because it was such a huge upset for the Vols but just because it is so memorable.

The Longhorns were okay; they weren’t great. However, they had Kevin Durrant, and he was an absolute baller.

Another player that I know Vol fans remember is shooting guard Chris Lofton. Lofton went absolutely bonkers with scoring a career-high 35 points at that time in his career.

He couldn’t be stopped the entire game. Lofton shot 7-for-16 from the three-point line and 12-for-13 from the free throw line.

This game is one of the most memorable because of arguably the best shot in Tennessee basketball program history.

Chris Lofton hit a three-point shot from almost half court, oh and it was over Kevin Durrant. It was one of the most memorable shots in Tennessee history,

What always gets overlooked when talking about this game is the 8-of-10 from the free throw line in the final 1:12 of the game.

If both teams were ranked it could have made our top spot on our list, however, Texas was only 8-3 at the time. Nonetheless, this game still ranks second on our list.

Final score: Tennessee 111, Texas 105 OT
