In most cases in our ranking post, the way we rank players or teams could always be viewed differently by fans. That is what is great about different fan experience and different fans views.

However, we aren’t sure there is much debate when it comes to this matchup. Number one Memphis host number two Tennessee. A battle of the state, which was a wonderful thing from both basketball programs.

Memphis was already established as a powerhouse in college basketball, and Tennessee was trying to make it to the top.

The game was memorable because it was number one versus number two but it was also memorable because the Vols ended the Tigers 47 home winning streak.

I also think fans can point to how it was a team win and not just  Chris Lofton win. Lofton finished the game with only seven points on 0-for-4 shooting from the three-point line.

Anytime Lofton struggled shooting the ball; the Vols would have a greater chance to lose. But, other players like Tyler Smith (16) and Wayne Chism (13) stepped up down the stretch.
