  • This was a new look Ohio State team and a relatively newish looking Tennessee team. However, we are still going to consider it as a redemption game.

This time it wasn’t Greg Oden or Mike Conley. So long to the days of Chris Lofton and JaJuan Smith running the court throwing up threes.

Guys like Wayne Chism and J.P. Prince were the go-to players as they collectively scored 36 points in the game. For the Buckeyes, Evan Turner led the way with 31 points on 10-23 shooting. But, was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line.

So, of course, the hero in the game? Big man Brian Williams was the hero for the Vols. With only half a minute to go in the game, Williams tipped in the go-ahead basket.

It came down to the final possession, and everyone watching knew who was taking the last shot for the Buckeyes. Evan Turner, of course.

Turner has the ball with his team down three, and J.P. Prince is playing absolutely suffocating defense. Turner goes up to the game-tying shot, and it is blocked by Prince. What a fantastic finish in a redemption.

Final score: Tennessee 76, Ohio State 73
