No. 3 Grade – C
These coaches are certainly better than a D which is a failing grade; I don’t care what anyone says. Both Mark Stoops and Barry Odom are right on that edge of being really good, but I couldn’t move them to a higher rating.

Mark Stoops
University of Kentucky
26-36 Overall Record
Honestly, Stoops probably deserved to get a B. He is borderline at the moment. Kentucky has always been known as a basketball school, so football has always been on the back burner.
Winning seven games at Kentucky is no small feat, but at a certain point, some coach is going to have to win more than seven.
During his time in Lexington, Stoops has won seven games in back-to-back seasons after two 5-7 seasons.
Again, Stoops isn’t a bad coach but at least once in five seasons win eight games. That would have definitely put Stoops on the B list.
Barry Odom
University of Missouri
11-14 Overall Record
Odom is another coach that falls into the same category as Stoops. He is on the borderline of receiving a B rating.
What Odom did last season with the Tigers was pretty impressive, and if he can keep that winning success going, he could be with Missouri for a while.
