No. 3 Florida State Seminoles

Coming in at number three is a big boy from the ACC Conference in Florida State. Yet, another team with a storied history and a history of playing against Tennesse.

However, who knows what direction the Seminoles are headed after getting rid of Jimbo Fisher. Willie Taggart is the head man now, and nothing against him but no one knows.

Speaking of the history against Tennessee, it is only two games. Which one was back in the 1950’s so many fans probably had no clue about the game. Back in 1958, the Seminoles beat the Vols 10-0 in a high scoring thriller.

And, of course, Tennessee fans are all too familiar with the 23-16 National Championship win against Florida State in the 1998-99 season. Arguably one of the most important and memorable wins in Tennessee football program history.

Moving forward it makes sense for the Vols to throw Florida State on the schedule. It would be a Power 5 opponent, and it wouldn’t be that far of a trip for fans or the team. And, at least for the next couple of years just the name of Florida State on the schedule will generate buzz with the media and fans.
