No.2 – September 1st vs. West Virginia (Charlotte)

Obviously, the West Virginia game has to be one of the top five games for fans to be excited about. The game against the Mountaineers will kick off the 2018 Tennessee football season. Which of course is the first game of Jeremy Pruitt’s tenure as head coach.

  • It is the first week of college football. Frankly, there ain’t much of anything better than the first week of college football especially when there are Power 5 matchups. And, if Tennessee could get that win in week one, all would be right in Knoxville.

Oh, and what a win it would be for him and the program as they look to rebuild from the mess Butch Jones put them in.

West Virginia isn’t going to be a cupcake though. Their offense should be firing on all cylinders, and if the defense isn’t up to the test, the game could get out of hand. Vol fans are hoping the defense looks a little better than it did during the orange and white game.

The West Virginia game has a strong case of being first in our rankings, but it isn’t quite as exciting as a game I bet you could guess who it is going to be.
