2019 Tennessee football top defensive end targets

Dante Walker; 4-star; 6’3″ 235 lbs; Riverdale, Ga.; Riverdale High School

It’s down to Tennessee football and the South Carolina Gamecocks for Dante Walker. Jeremy Pruitt needs to use every connection he has into the state of Georgia to get this guy. Walker is a weakside defensive end, balancing out Jalil Clemons for a complete class. Securing him would do wonders for the defensive line heading into 2019.

Khris Bogle; 4-star; 6’5″ 215 lbs; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Cardinal Gibbons High School

The Vols are in the top three for Khris Bogle with the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida State Seminoles. Now the other two schools are favorites, but it’s remarkable that Jeremy Pruitt’s team is the only one outside of Florida in the running. That signals that they have something interesting to offer him. And if Pruitt can convince the South Florida prospect not to play too close to home, then Tennessee may even have an advantage over FSU. So watch out.

Jorell Baum; 3-star; 6’5″ 210 lbs; Elizabeth City, N.C.; Northeastern High School

Right now, Jorell Baum is fielding offers from a lot of smaller FBS schools in addition to the Vols. But he’s a top prospect nonetheless as a Top 60 defensive end. That counts for something. At 6’5″, he just needs to add muscle to his 210-pound frame. But the weakside end can bring a lot to the table, so the Vols would do well to secure him.

Etinosa Reuben; 3-star; 6’4″ 265 lbs; Kansas City, Mo.; Park Hill South High School

He’s only a three-star, but Etinosa Reuben is fielding offers from top schools across the country, including the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs. So there’s a fight to get this strongside defensive end from Missouri, and Tennessee football is in that fight. With no leaders yet, anything could happen here. But the Vols will likely pursue him heavily, so watch what happens here.
