Tennessee football’s Fan Day for 2018 is set for August 5th. Fans finally get to meet the players and the new man in charge.

I know what Vol fans are thinking when the headline finally comes across Twitter that Tennessee football’s Fan Day has a date. The first thought probably is something like, “it’s about time.”

The date for Fan Day is set for August the 5th, just days after head coach, Jeremy Pruitt will have his preseason press conference on August 2nd. And, fall camp officially starts on August 3rd. When fall camps roll around, you know it’s almost football time in Tennessee.

There aren’t many details to go along with the event. However, that isn’t stopping Pruitt from getting excited to meet Volnation. Take a look at his tweet from earlier today.

In previous years, the “Fan Day” has usually fallen on the same day as the Orange and White Game. It was a packed day for the fans, but Pruitt decided not to go in that direction in his first season.

Fan Day is an excellent opportunity for fans to meet the players and coaches on a different level than press conferences. Fans young and old will be able to chat with the players. And, if it’s anything like it was in the past, fans will be able to get some autographs.

Butch Jones and the previous coaching staff all but did most Vol fans in when it comes to listening to fake crap during press conferences. Even the coaching staff before Butch had some doozies when it came to talking to the media. So, Fan Days are unique and refreshing for fans.

As more details develop, we will keep the fans posted on the time. And, what may or may not be allowed. All in all, this should be exciting for Tennessee fans. Finally, a real football coach starts his tenure to make Tennessee great again.
