The game against the Auburn Tigers gets the nod for Bone’s third best game of the season despite the loss. When the loss happened, it wasn’t a great look for the Vols.

  • Auburn was voted to finish near the bottom of the SEC and losing to them was ugly. However, the loss turned out not to be that bad considering they ended up co-champs of the league.

Bone was one of the only Vols that played over 30 minutes, Grant Williams being the other. Even in the loss, Bone made six shots on 13 attempts. He also shot 3-of-6 from the three-point line which was impressive.

He scored 18 points which was just as much as Brown, Harper, or Heron. It was also the third-highest scoring output of the season.

Bone played well enough for the Vols to win the game. And, not to make excuses for the team but Auburn outrebounded them by eight, and it came down to be the difference in the game.

Moving on, can you guess, another “old” Western division team that we think Bone had one of his best games against.
