No. 5: Grade C

Joe Moorhead

Mississippi State Bulldogs

38-13 Overall Record

0-0 Bowl Record

I will not be peer pressured into saying a joke that has been said a million times about Joe Moorhead. Instead, let’s focus on the tough shoes Moorhead has to follow.

Dan Mullen did wonders with the Bulldogs program. Moorhead will have to bring his offensive genius to keep the train rolling. His offense was near impossible to stop at Penn State averaging 432 yards. Scary to think about what he can accomplish with Nick Fitzgerald running the offense.

Chad Morris

Arkansas Razorbacks

14-22 Overall Record

0-0 Bowl Record

Chad Morris is a new addition to the SEC. And, man do we feel sorry for him as he tries to make the Arkansas Razorbacks respectable. Which, let’s be real, probably isn’t going to happen. Call the Hogs all you want but Morris will be lucky to have 20 wins in three seasons.

We aren’t holding his 14-22 record against him since it came at SMU. And, it should be noted that at SMU his teams improved each season. However, this is the SEC, and the SEC West, so things only get harder. Plus he’s at Arkansas.
