No. 3: Grade B

Gus Malzahn

Auburn Tigers

54-25 Overall Record

1-4 Bowl Record

Can Auburn fans leave Gus Malzahn alone? He has never had a losing record and has won eight games in four out of five seasons. And, has had a BCS Championship Game appearance.

Take a look back at the history of the program, and it isn’t much different than what Malzahn is doing. In fact, Malzahn is doing better. There are a lot of seven-win seasons with a double-digit win season sprinkled in.

Will Muschamp

South Carolina Gamecocks

43-32 Overall Record

2-2 Bowl Record

Vol fans love to hate Muschamp. And, we don’t blame them. Muschamp is the king of trash talk when it comes to arguing with Volnation.

Then there is the fact that since he has been at South Carolina, his Gamecocks haven’t lost to the Vols. Oh, how the tables have turned, and a large part is due to how good of a coach Muschamp is.

As good of a coach Steve Spurrier is, he left the South Carolina program in a mess. A mess that Muschamp has cleaned up to a 9-4 season in year two. And, now the preseason talk is the Gamecocks could win the East.
