No. 1: Grade A

Jimbo Fisher

Texas A&M Aggies

83-23 Overall Record

5-2 Bowl Record (1 National Championship)

Jimbo Fisher is the only other coach on the same level with Saban. Even though the two are incredibly far apart. Saban is a much better coach. However, anytime you win a National Championship, it doesn’t matter how much you cheat, you get the “A” grade.

We will see what Fisher is made of as he embarks on his new journey in the always tough SEC West.

Nick Saban

Alabama Crimson Tide

218-62-1 Overall Record

13-9 Bowl Record (6 National Championships)

Of course, one of the easiest picks of this entire article. Nick Saban deserves a grade of an “A.” He is one of the best coaches in college football history.

Every year, he just reloads with four and five-stars. It is almost impossible to beat the Tide. His team was getting beat in the National Championship Game and then Saban decided to switch quarterbacks at halftime and the Tide wins.

Next: Must-win games for Jeremy Pruitt in year one

You honestly can’t make this stuff up. Any other coach would be scared to make that change but Saban did with confidence. Until Smart, Mullen, Pruitt, or any other coach and consistently beats him, he will be considered the best coach in college football until he retires.
