I bet you could take a guess who the top-rated player is for this year’s Tennessee football team. That’s right, offensive lineman Trey Smith. The sophomore is rated a 90 overall which is three points higher than any other player on the team.

The second highest rated player is a bit of a surprise. Jauan Jennings is rated 87 overall with a spectacular catch rating only an 83. I might have to change that a bit. Does the creator of this roster not remember the Tennessee/Georgia game?

The highest rated freshman is linebacker J.J. Peterson who has a 79 rating, which is rather impressive. Hopefully, Peterson is available for the start of fall camp.

Now for the position you all have been waiting on. The starting quarterback is Keller Chryst who has an 84 rating which is three points higher than Jarrett Guarantano. Maybe the experience that Chryst has gives him the nod. I think it is a little closer than what this roster shows.

However, this is the roster we are going with going to simulate the season with. We will keep an eye on the play of Chryst. We might have to make a mid-season adjustment and let Guarantano take the Vols to the promise land.

Buckle up because it’s football time in Tennessee. At least on EA’s NCAA 14 video game.
