I’ll have to be honest. I couldn’t start Keller Chryst. It’s not that I like Jarett Guarantano more, I just feel like he will be the starter at the current moment. Just my opinion, and I could be totally wrong. Nonetheless, we are starting the 2018 simulation season with Guarantano.

I said it’s great to be a Tennessee Vol. That’s what all the Tennessee football fans were yelling after a long offseason of Mountaineer fans telling everyone just how good they were going to be. The Vols start the season 1-0 with a 31-24 victory over West Virginia.

The Jeremy Pruitt era starts in the is the best way possible. His defense forced three interceptions as they held Will Grier to 15-of-28 passing for 238 yards with only one touchdown.

On the other hand, Guarantano had a pretty good game. He went 14-of-26 for 242 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He also added ten rushing yards on the ground. Mainly running for his life as the offensive line gave up four sacks.

Players of the Game

Offense – Running back, Ty Chandler

He had 26 attempts for 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Chandler was the first score of the 2018 season. It was a five-yard run up the middle.

Defense – Linebacker, Darrin Krikland Jr.

Kirkland ended the game with 12 tackles, five of which were solo. He also had one sack and added an interception. I guess it was a good thing he didn’t transfer.
