We continue our summer series of recapping the best five games from players last season. This post we will take a look at Admiral Schofield’s best five games.

As we continue our series of recapping last season’s Tennessee basketball players, we come to one of the most improved players, Admiral Schofield. By the end of the season, Schofield became a go-to player and luckily for the Vols; he stepped up to the challenge.

Schofield was an entirely different player last season thanks to the move to more of an outside guard/forward. The move made Schofield an explosive player and a dynamic scorer. The move also helped him shoot a lot of three-point shots. He almost attempted three more a game from the 2016-17 season.

Schofield’s 13.9 points per game was second best on the team only behind SEC Player of the Year, Grant Williams. The 13.9 points per game was up from 8.2 just the year before. Points were not the only thing Schofield improved on. He also averaged more steals, blocks, assists, and rebounds per game.

Moving forward, the Vols will need Schofield to continue to get better. Tennessee has an extraordinary opportunity to be one of the best teams in the nation next season, but they are going to need Schofield at his best. And, there is no doubt that he could average around 15 points per game.

After a summer of workouts for multiple NBA teams, Schofield should be back and better than ever. He and Grant Williams could be the best duo in college basketball. In this post, we are going to recap Admiral Schofield’s best five games from a season ago.
