Tennessee football: Top 5 storylines for Vols as 2018 fall camp begins

Fall camp is underway for Tennessee football. Here are the Volunteers’ top five storylines this preseason with the full team finally there.

And just like that, Tennessee football has begun its preseason. There’s a new era now with Jeremy Pruitt at the helm, and the practices now are all about preparing for the Vols 2018 season. This is the time where everybody gets excited.

Of course, for Vols fans, it comes with numerous questions. How good can this team be? Just how much rebuilding are they going to do? Are they going to be a threat to any of the big dogs they face this year?

Well, we know it all starts with fall camp. As Pruitt mentioned on Thursday, Tennessee football enters with 109 guys. Once JJ Peterson enrolls, they expect to have 110 guys by the time the season begins on Rocky Top.

As always, there are numerous storylines following the Vols this year. The most obvious one is the fact that they are entering the season with a new head coach. But in reality, that just spawns a collection of other storylines.

In this post, we’re going to look at those specific storylines with camp underway. They can range from personnel stories to schematic ones. But it’s clear the arrival of a new era gives us a lot to talk about on Rocky Top.

This is the time everybody looks forward to. All the offseason drama is out the window, and fans can just focus on the field. Barring major news, that’s all we’ll be focusing on over the next month ahead of the start of the season.
