August will be over before we know it and it will finally be football time in Tennessee. With that comes a grueling schedule the Vols will have to overcome.

It’s already August 7th and football season is right around the corner. The countdown is less than a month away. Did you think we would make it?

If you’re a Tennessee football fan, you have to love everything about the direction the program is heading. Jeremy Pruitt has come right in and gave the Vols a culture change, for the better. So long to the gimmicks of Butch Jones and welcome to real football. Real football that Tennessee football fans have been craving for the past ten years.

Everyone knows about Pruitt’s past. There is an impressive list of coaches he has coached under and the players he has developed. And, he has had a lot of success. The same success he is trying to bring that success to Knoxville.

We all know that the Vols will have their hands full in Pruitt’s first season as head coach. They have the toughest five-game span in the entire nation despite what West Virginia fans say. Their schedule isn’t harder; only an idiot would believe that. The Big 12 has two or three teams.

In this post, we are going to rank all the games by difficulty on the Tennessee football 2018 schedule. There are some obvious games that should be considered walks in the park, and then there are some games that the Vols will have to get lucky to win.

As we break down our list keep in mind things can change throughout the season. Injuries happen, and pressure develops. So, this post ranks the games on toughest at the current moment. Let’s dive on in.
