Tennessee Football: Ranking games on Vols schedule by difficulty
No. 6 – November 17 vs. Missouri
You might think the list is crazy ranking Missouri a tougher game than Florida, but for this upcoming season, it will be. One of the things missing from Florida is a decent quarterback. Can you guess what Missouri has? A decent quarterback.
Preseason All-SEC First-Team and senior quarterback, Drew Lock, is the leader for the Tigers. He has produced impressive numbers the past two seasons. In fact, he led the SEC in passing yards (3,964), passing touchdowns (44), and QBR (165.68).
He is getting a lot of hype around the nation this preseason, and maybe it will be justified. He is a tough quarterback that will be hard to stop. He actually could be the best quarterback the Vols play all season.
This game ranks a little more tough on our list because it comes later on in the season when injuries begin to happen. Vol fans are hoping that this season isn’t like the past couple and most of the player stays healthy.
Yes, I know Florida has owned Tennessee but so has Missouri since they came into the league. Now, Derek Dooley and Butch Jones were coaching, so that has something to do with the losses. Eventually, I believe Missouri becomes one of those games that the Vols win with ease. But, for this season it will be a tough game.
