No. 3 – October 13 @ Auburn

Every season it seems like Tennessee has to play to two best teams out of the Western division in the SEC. Of course, every season Alabama is on the schedule, and now this season it’s the Auburn Tigers.

Oh, and the game is at Auburn which is not going to be easy. However, Auburn always seems to be one of those teams with high expectations and every year they let their fans down. Although they did beat Alabama last season.

Defensive coordinator Kevin Steele is attempting to have an even better defense for the third straight year. The Tigers defense is losing three key players in Tray Matthews, Tre’ Williams, and Stephen Roberts but they are still going to be good.

The Tigers also have Jarrett Stidham playing quarterback. And, after having a year with Gus Malzahn system under his belt, he should be much improved.

Malzahn has been hit or miss at Auburn. His success depends a lot on how good or bad the quarterback play is. However, at Auburn, he has a 45-22 record and is coming off a 10-4 season.

I don’t want to say the Vols don’t have a chance but this one should be a loss on the schedule for Tennessee football.
