No. 7 Offensive Line

The offensive line gets our second worst ranking. However, this position group has the most to gain and prove they can be the best unit on the team.

Key Players

Drew Richmond – R/JR

Brandon Kennedy – R/JR

Trey Smith – SO

Jerome Carvin – FR

Chance Hall – R/JR

We all know how immeasurable Trey Smith is and can be. He is not only one of the best offensive linemen in the SEC but in the entire nation. As a freshman, Smith was demanded to do a lot. In fact, there were times in the season where the Vols only ran to the side Smith was blocking on.

Tennessee football just received news the Chance Hall will be ready to suit up for the season opener which is enormous news. If Drew Richmond can live up to the four-star grade he received in 2015, the offensive line might not be a weak link for the Vols.

There is also Brandon Kennedy, the transfer from Alabama. So, far this summer Kennedy has shown signs of being a leader for the unit. He brings a winning mentality and leadership to a group that desperately lacks it.

As we all know. A lot of games in the SEC are won on the offensive and defensive lines. If the offensive line can have a good season, it could set the tone for the other position groups on the team.
