No. 5 Tight Ends

The tight end is a position group that is not the best but not the worst either. But, just like most of the other positions, they could end up being the best.

  • Eli Wolf has become one of the most improved players on the team. He stood out during spring camp and is still doing everything asked of him. He is a good receiving threat and is not afraid to stay in the box and block in the rushing game.

Wolf will have his opportunity to play a lot of minutes come fall. However, he will share his time with newcomer Dominick Wood-Anderson.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pounder was universally ranked as one of the best junior college prospects in the 2018 class. 247Sports had him listed as the No. 1 recruit from the state of California. His huge frame will be a suitable target for the quarterbacks.

And, there is the fact the offensive line might struggle, so delivering the ball quickly to the tight end position might be something that happens a lot. The tight end position could really ease the quarterbacks into the games.
