Tennessee football: Vols 10 biggest concerns for 2018 season
Tennessee football has a lot to worry about heading into 2018. Here are the top 10 concerns surrounding this Volunteers team.
There’s a lot of excitement in the air for Tennessee football. Once again, they have a new head coach in Jeremy Pruitt. As a result, Vols fans have to reset expectations and prepare for another rebuilding process on Rocky Top.
All of this leads to modest expectations for the first year. But why is that? There are quite a few strengths in Knoxville that people don’t know about. So fans have plenty of reason to be optimistic about a surprising year.
However, the weaknesses are there. And the concerns are real. Tennessee football has a lot to overcome before reaching the level it needs to under Pruitt. And things could get very tough very fast if these issues aren’t addressed.
In this post, we’re going to rank the biggest concerns surrounding the Vols heading into the 2018 season. To be fair, we may find out that these aren’t concerns at all. But based on what we’ve seen from Pruitt’s program so far and what we know about the program going in, we have a good idea of issues to expect.

However, our focus is going to be on the results of that coaching change from Butch Jones and his staff to Pruitt and his staff. That makes it pointless to specifically list the change as an issue. So with that out of the way, let’s take a look at the 10 biggest concerns facing the 2018 Tennessee football team.
