No.2 Benny Snell Jr. – Kentucky Wildcats, Running Back

Kentucky running back Benny Snell comes in at our number two ranking. Snell will be entering in junior season with the Wildcats, but doesn’t he seem like one of those players that have played for like five years or more?

  • Maybe that is because he has put up some rather impressive numbers. Last season Snell finished with 1,333 rushing yards which was good enough for third most in the SEC. He also accounted for 19 rushing touchdowns which was the best in the league.

Arguably his best game last season came against the Vols. Snell rushed for a total of 180 yards with three touchdowns. That should come at no surprise since Tennessee’s rushing defense was so bad last season. But, three touchdowns is like video game numbers.

Snell followed the Tennessee game up with two back-to-back games with three touchdowns apiece. He accounted for nine touchdowns in three games for a total of 472 rushing yards.

The All-SEC first team selection is full of confidence and is ready to prove he is the best back in the SEC. Maxwell Ogden, a fellow FanSided, wrote a piece naming Benny Snell as a name everyone needs to know. You can find that post here. He even mentioned Snell could be one of the best running back in the 2019 NFL Draft if he decides to enter.
