Game 10: Kentucky Wildcats at Tennessee Volunteers

Saturday, Nov. 10; Neyland Stadium; Knoxville, Tenn.

Caleb Calhoun

The Vols will continue to ride the momentum of a huge win over the South Carolina Gamecocks on the road and a blowout homecoming win. They should have beaten the Kentucky Wildcats last year and should never lose to them anyway.

Jeremy Pruitt will restore Tennessee football dominance in this series. Rocky Top gets back on top with UK and gains bowl eligibility in the process, but it will be a bit closer than the experts think. In fact, watch for the Wildcats to give them a scare in the second half.

Winner: Tennessee (6-4, 3-3)

Billy Williford

The past few years Kentucky has got the best of Tennessee which is unacceptable by Volunteer standards. Honestly, the Vols should never lose to Kentucky.

This will be a close game. I think keeping Benny Snell out of the end zone is the key. Vols by 3.

Winner: Tennessee (5-5, 2-4)

Garrett Sanders

Historically, Tennessee football has dominated the series, even though Kentucky won in Lexington last season. Mark Stoops’s players will be fired up to try and win for two consecutive seasons. Talent wise though, Tennessee has the better team.

Coaching wise? I would think Jeremy Pruitt is better, even if he is unproven. Stoops hasn’t been around a championship culture in his coaching career, while Pruitt has. Despite being 3-6 at this point, he’ll know this is a brand-new season for the Vols. This game will be close to halftime, but Tennessee will outlast the Wildcats in this matchup.

Winner: Tennessee (4-6, 1-5)
