NATIONAL CHAMPION: CLEMSON TIGERS

The three of us have nine different teams among our College Football Playoff picks. And believe it or not, only the Clemson Tigers are in all three playoff projections, while only one of us has them winning it all. The Alabama Crimson Tide are the only other team in multiple playoff projections, and they’re only in two. Outside of those two, you have another SEC team and then two different Big 12, Pac-12 and Big Ten teams in the mix.

We all have different national championship picks, with one from the Big Ten, one from the SEC and one from the ACC. Simply put, things are all over the place for our college football predictions this year. However, two of the three national championship picks were each of the last two national champions.

Meanwhile, it’s worthing noting that the three different coaches each of us projected to win it all are arguably among  the three most recognizable in the sport: Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney and Jim Harbaugh. Of course, right now, Saban and Swinney have earned their stripes. Harbaugh is looking more overrated by the day. Urban Meyer is also in one of these playoff scenarios, another elite coach who brings a ton of character questions into play.
