Tennessee football falls to 0-1 as they get crushed by West Virginia. Here is a photo gallery from the Volunteers’ 40-14 loss.

It was not the ideal Saturday for Tennessee football. The Vols fell to West Virginia 40-14 in a game that got out of hand in the second half. Not many people actually thought the Vols would win the game, but it had to be disappointing it was not a closer game.

The first half was a close game. The Vols were only down 13-7 at halftime, and it seemed like the program had turned the corner. They were playing hard, playing tough, and playing as they belonged in the game.

Let’s take a look back at some of the notable moments on Saturday. Here is a look at some of the memorable photos from the game.

Finally, head coach Jeremy Pruitt in his orange and white. I never thought we would see it. There is a couple of pictures in the gallery that showed Guarantano getting completely drilled. There were a few plays earlier in the first quarter where Guarantano took the snap, took a step, and then got hit.

Other pictures apart of the gallery showed West Virginia’s stud wide receiver David Sills V get excited after getting the first down. Sills had a huge game against the young secondary of the Vols grabbing seven passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vols turn their attention to their first game in Neyland Stadium of the 2018 Tennessee football season. I’m relatively confident that the Vols win the next two games and are 2-1 heading into the Florida game.

If Tennessee can beat the Gators, a seven-win season is still gettable. Not all is lost with a loss to the Mountaineers. If anything it will help show the young guys what it takes to play on the college level.
