Tennessee football has a huge opening game against West Virginia. Here are our final bold predictions for the Volunteers and Mountaineers.

It’s game day! The season is back, and Tennessee football begins the Jeremy Pruitt with a huge first test. However, it’s also a huge opportunity to make an early statement and completely reset the outlook of the 2018 season.

The Vols will take on the No. 17 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers in Charlotte. Coming off their worst season in school history, losing eight losses and going winless in the SEC for the first time they are looking for a massive rebound.

As a nine and a half point underdog, Tennessee football has nothing to lose and everything to gain in this game. There is good reason to bet against the Vols when you consider the match-up issues facing them here.

However, as we have covered all week, they have things working to their own advantage in this game as well. With new offensive coordinator Tyson Helton and athletes all over the field, the Vols are definitely capable of exploiting the weaknesses on this WVU defense. On top of that, they have enough athletes on the other side to force a few big plays.

Because of that, Rocky Top certainly has a chance to pull off the upset. We’ve already given you our predictions and the keys to the game. But what’s going to happen throughout the day? That’s what this post is about.

We’re back with our game-day takes predicting what actually will happen in the games. This is based on all the keys and predictions we have all made throughout the week, and we are focusing on what we know the personnel to be in this outing.

So let’s go ahead and give you our takes on exactly what’s going to happen in the Belk College Kickoff. Here are our five last-minute predictions for Tennessee football’s opener against the West Virginia Mountaineers.
