Arkansas Razorbacks at Colorado State Rams

Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m.; Canvas Stadium; Fort Collins, Colo.

TV: CBS Sports Network; Line: Arkansas -13; Over/Under: 70

Garrett Sanders

This game will be a lot of fun to watch, especially if you love a good shootout. Colorado State’s secondary is below average as they have given up over 70% of their opponents pass attempts to be completed. Arkansas should have a field day against this secondary. The Rams Offense will also have their opportunity to score points as well.

Eastern Illinois did put up some impressive numbers against Arkansas’s secondary last week, but the majority of those stats is inflated. The reason why is that it was near the end of the game and Arkansas had their young players in. If I am gambling this week, I will put in for the Over this week.

Arkansas: 56 Colorado State: 38 (Arkansas -13; Over)

Billy Williford

I’m honestly shocked that this is only a 13-point spread. What has Arkansas proved? It is the first year for head coach Chad Morris. And, the numbers are giving him a 13-point spread on the road at Colorado State?

Look I know Colorado state is bad in fact they’re all went to on the season. However it is a home game and Arkansas hasn’t proved anything yet. Maybe this is the wrong way to be, but I’m going with the points and the home team and Colorado state.

Arkansas: 38 Colorado State: 28 (Colorado State +13; Under)

After a dominating opener against an FCS opponent, the Arkansas Razorbacks now face a Colorado State Rams team that has more talent than previous teams but much less experience and is playing significantly worse as a result. I still have a hard time truly believing in Mike Bobo. He’s gone 7-6 three years and a row, and with so much youth, the wheels may come off this year.

With an 0-2 record and a horrible defense, there’s no reason to believe the Razorbacks will struggle in this game. Former Tennessee football defensive coordinator John Chavis is still installing his scheme, so he’ll give up some points too. In the end, take the Hogs and the over.

Arkansas: 48 Colorado State: 24 (Arkansas -13; Over)
