What happened to Kansas State last week? The Wildcats almost lost to an FCS team in their stadium! They made plenty of mistakes with having 13 penalties and had four turnovers on Offense! Mississippi State on the flip side of things had a perfect game called without their starting quarterback! In the clear picture of things, it looks like this is an easy game to pick.
Kansas State is a team that plays ball control and will attack opposing defenses in a slow-paced Offense. But the Bulldog Defense should be able to stop the Wildcats making their Offense go three-and-out periodically. With Nick Fitzgerald back at quarterback, the Bulldogs Offense will be in sync all day long. This game should be over by halftime if my theory holds true.

Name one thing Mississippi State has. I’ll give you a hint; it is a great defense. Sometimes on the road offenses can come to a halt. However, if the defense is good, it usually travels.
The Bulldogs are playing a Kansas State team that struggled last week against South Dakota. South Dakota! It is tough to go against a Bill Snyder coached team at home, but I don’t think his Wildcats have enough. Oh, and there is the fact the Bulldogs get All-SEC quarterback Nick Fitzgerald back.

I still say the SEC is in a transition year outside of the Alabama Crimson Tide and maybe the Auburn Tigers. At the same time, the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ blowout win over an FCS school last week is nothing for me to be impressed with. If it were any other season for the Kansas State Wildcats, I would have Bill Snyder’s team winning this one easily at home.
However, this team barely beat South Dakota last week. After replacing nearly half their starters and bringing in new offensive and defensive coordinators, the transition is evident. Tennessee football fans are also feeling the pain of such schematic changes. As a result, Joe Moorhead’s team will win again. And they will cover. With Nick Fitzgerald back, take the points as well.
