Wyoming Cowboys at Missouri Tigers

Saturday Sept. 8 at 7 p.m.; Faurot Field; Columbia, Mo.

TV: ESPNU; Line: Missouri -18.5; Over/Under: 52

Garrett Sanders

Missouri has a heck of an offense. Wyoming is coming off a blowout loss to Washington State. This is not very good for the Cowboys. Momentum like a loss to Washington State can kill a team.

Add to the fact that Missouri has one of the best offenses in the country as well. We have a recipe for success This game won’t be close. I expect Missouri to come swinging throwing the ball all over Wyoming.

Missouri: 45 Wyoming: 13 (Missouri -18.5; Over)

Billy Williford

The first thing that stood out to me in this game was the over/under was too low. Missouri will score 52 points themselves. In the Tigers last ten games, they have scored 50 points or more four times. What’s more impressive during the same stretch of games, Missouri has scored at least 45 points in seven of those games.

The Tigers are great about covering the spread as well. In their last ten games, they have covered the spread eight times. To keep the impressive numbers going, they are 4-1 ATS at home in their previous five games.

Missouri: 50 Wyoming: 17 (Missouri -18.5; Over)

Caleb Calhoun

Former Tennessee football head coach Derek Dooley’s offense had 38 points at halftime last week against the UT-Martin Skyhawks as Mizzou’s offensive coordinator. They could have put up more behind Drew Lock’s big arm and 45 points with 13 minutes left in the third. They could’ve had more, but Barry Odom pulled the starters after that. Still, this high-powered passing attack is the real deal.

The Wyoming Cowboys are extremely well-coached under Craig Bohl. And they are very multiple defensively with a lot of talent back. Giving up 41 to Washington State doesn’t mean much since Mike Leach is coaching that offense. This is still a very solid defense. It won’t matter. Mizzou is rolling right now with Lock, and he’ll do it again Saturday. And the over/under is way too low. Take Missouri to cover and go all in on the over this game.

Missouri: 41 Wyoming: 20 (Missouri -18.5; Over)
