Unanimous picks (9 overall)

Georgia -33.5 vs. Middle Tennessee, the Over 54.5

None of us are making the mistake of not betting on the Georgia Bulldogs after last week. The Dawgs offense is clearly humming, and even if there’s a bit of a letdown, they should still dominate here. That offense combined with a well-coached MTSU offense should make for the game overall to definitely hit the over while UGA still covers.

Boise State +2.5 at Oklahoma State

Looks like we all believe in the Boise State Broncos. We’re not just going with them to cover, but we all have them in an upset. Maybe that’s because Bryan Harsin’s team returns too much talent to bet against, and it’s clear the Oklahoma State Cowboys are good every other year under Mike Gundy. This isn’t that other year.

Colorado State +20.5 at Florida, the Over 55.5

An offense like the Colorado State Rams going up against a Florida Gators team transitioning to a 3-4 defense means two things: more scoring than usual in a game like this so CSU helps this game hit the over, and Mike Bobo’s team also beating the 20.5-point spread. Florida is just not ready for this game, so they’ll look ugly winning. That’s why we all agree they don’t cover while Colorado State hits the over.

North Texas at Arkansas, the Under 69

This one is a 7-point spread, which is insane for an SEC team hosting a C-USA team. But the Arkansas Razorbacks are still trying to figure things out offensively under Chad Morris. They have some SEC talent on defense as well, so you can’t expect North Texas’s offense to go off like it’s been doing. As a result, we all have this game hitting the under.

Texas A&M -26.5 vs. Louisiana Monroe

The Texas A&M Aggies just almost beat a Clemson Tigers team that made three straight College Football Playoffs and is more loaded than ever before. Jimbo Fisher has that program on the rise, and he’s going to watch them blow out the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. Everybody should sleep through this one, as we’re all calling for the over.

Missouri -6 at Purdue

If it wasn’t for last year’s result, everybody would have the Missouri Tigers winning in a blowout. Their offense is dominant, the Purdue Boilermakers look awful, and it’s a revenge mindset game. We all see it here, and our faith in Barry Odom has us picking Mizzou to cover with ease.

UTEP at Tennessee, the Over 47.5

Tennessee football is a 30.5 point favorite over the UTEP Miners while the over/under is set at 47.5. That’s a heck of a lot of faith in the Vols’ defense to shut down UTEP’s offense, which is still figuring things out. UT might cover, but even if they do, Dana Dimel runs a decent enough offense for a score or two to help this game hit the over. We all see that.

dark. Next. 5 Vols to watch for vs. UTEP

We have nine overall unanimous picks, the same as last week, and they touch seven different games. After going 6-3 during the week, we’re out ahead of Vegas right now as a group. Still, there’s more work to do. We just got hit with really bad luck in Week 1. This time, things are different, and we’re about to be on a roll.
