Murray State Racers at Kentucky Wildcats

Saturday, Sept. 15 at Noon; Commonwealth Stadium; Lexington, Ky.

There’s a slim possibility that Kentucky is looking past this game and instead focusing it on the key
matchup against Mississippi State. Fortunately for the Wildcats, it won’t have any affect. The fact is, the Racers do not have any offensive firepower to drive the ball down the field.

This game will be fun and interesting to watch for Kentucky fans. After all, the Wildcats did just break a 31-year losing streak to Florida. This is a team that will play with confidence for the remainder of the season. This game won’t be close.

It’s over, mark it down the Kentucky Wildcats as the SEC Champs. Okay, not really but that has to be what it felt like for the Kentucky football program after their big win over the Florida Gators last week.

For the first time in my lifetime, Kentucky beat Florida in football. As much as I hate Kentucky, I had a smile on my face going to bed on Saturday night.

Moving forward to the game against Murray State, I think Kentucky sleepwalks for the first half. So, don’t be surprised if it is a tight game for a while. However, they keep the momentum going and start the season 3-0.

Well it’s good we can get this first game out of the way. It’s as dull as Tennessee football’s game, but there are no chances for gambling picks since the Kentucky Wildcats are facing an FCS school in the Murray State Racers. So what’s the fun in that?

Anyway, coming off of a huge win against the Florida Gators, Mark Stoops’s team won’t have a letdown. It’ll be a boring, blowout win for the Wildcats against an FCS team that was 3-8 last year and started this year 0-2.
