North Texas Mean Green at Arkansas Razorbacks

Saturday, Sept. 15 at 4 p.m.; Razorback Stadium; Fayetteville, Ark.

TV: SEC Network; Line: Arkansas -7; Over/Under: 69

Garrett Sanders

North Texas has a real chance to pull an upset. The Mean Green has an offense that is unstoppable. They have the talent to do some major damage. They have a passing game is going to hurt the Arkansas secondary and make it a nightmare for the Razorback coaching staff.

This is a must-win game for Arkansas. If they don’t win this game, it could be over for the Hogs this season. After losing to Colorado State last week, I think the Hogs are in big trouble. North Texas has enough on offense to move the ball. I think that is the difference in this game. Arkansas finds a way to lose again to another non-power five non-conference team.

I am laughing out loud at the fact Arkansas is only a seven-point favorite against North Texas. Knock the Vols all you want but goodness gracious, that is bad. Embarrassing to be completely honest.

There is absolutely no way Arkansas drops back-to-back games against Colorado State and North Texas, right?

I say the Razorbacks bounce back and cover the seven-point spread. Again laughing out loud. If they drop this game, watch out for the longest season in Razorback history.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are switching places with the Florida Gators in terms of facing the Colorado State Rams. And both teams lost last week as well. The Tennessee football of the SEC West last year is still adjusting to its system change under Chad Morris. That change cost them dearly against CSU.

However, they’re back at home this week, and although the North Texas Mean Green are better and have a lot of momentum, this seven-point spread seems like a bit much. I’ve got the Hogs winning and covering. But this over/under is far too high. Arkansas wins and wins ugly while covering the touchdown.
