No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide at Ole Miss Rebels

Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.; Vaught-Hemingway Stadium; Oxford, Miss.

TV: ESPN; Line: Alabama -21.5; Over/Under: 71

Garrett Sanders

I get it, Ole Miss’s offense is incredible to watch. But I have an issue with this game. Alabama has found a way to stop Bobby Petrino and Arkansas State. Petrino knows how to run a good offense, and Arkansas State had one of the best offenses in the nation last season. The matter of the fact is, they were facing Alabama. This is a problem for Ole Miss.

Another major problem I have with Ole Miss is that they gave up 41 points to Southern Illinois! Alabama has found their mojo on offense. The Tide will Roll all over this Rebel defense. Ole Miss will be embarrassed by halftime. This is just what Alabama does best. Sorry Ole Miss. You’re up next for Alabama’s beating.

Alabama: 52 Ole Miss: 14 (Alabama -21.5; Under 71)

Billy Williford

Ole Miss has an explosive offense that can score some points. Alabama has a better one. Ole Miss has a dynamic quarterback. Alabama has a better one.

I could continue down the list, Alabama is just better. Yes, I know upsets happen. When you look back on upsets, you question how that even happened, but not this time around.

The Tide are stomping on their opponents this season, and Ole Miss will be no different. I think Bama scores over 50 points again, and this game won’t be close.

Alabama: 56 Ole Miss: 38 (Ole Miss -21; Over 71)

Caleb Calhoun

The Alabama Crimson Tide have let me down two weeks in a row by covering their insanely high spreads. That’s because they now have a high-powered offense and a quarterback. Meanwhile, the Ole Miss Rebels also have a high-powered offense. They have also given Nick Saban’s program trouble in the past.

Former Tennessee football assistant coach Matt Luke may be excited about this game, but I’ve learned not to bet against Alabama on the spread when they have a quarterback. The Rebels won’t stop Alabama all day. Ole Miss will get some points too, which makes it an easy call to take the over. But it also makes it an easy call for me to take Alabama. I won’t get bit by them again.

Alabama: 59 Ole Miss: 31 (Alabama -21; Over 71)
