Tennessee football takes on the UTEP Miners on Saturday. We have some bold predictions for the game. Maybe another two-touchdown game for Jeremy Banks?

It’s about that time. No, not Florida week, although that is coming up soon. It’s about football time in Tennessee. The Tennesse football team host UTEP in Neyland Stadium on Saturday at 12:00 pm.

The Vols are looking to advance to a 2-1 overall record heading into their matchup with the Flordia Gators. Let’s be honest, if Tennessee doesn’t beat UTEP, Knoxville will burn. The Miners come into the game with a 14-game losing streak and is one of the worst teams in the nation.

In this post, we have a couple of bold predictions for the game. For these predictions, we want to be bold, obviously. But also be somewhat realistic. If you were paying attention to last week, we almost hit on a couple of them. We said the young secondary was going to have a pick-six and boy were we close.

Bryce Thompson was returning his interception and ran out of bounds at the three-yard line. However, linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. did have a 33-yard interception returned for a touchdown. So close.

There is entirely no way UTEP beats the Vols on Saturday. I would give the Miners less than a one percent chance to pull the upset. Since the game will be a snoozefest, keep tabs on these bold predictions and see how well we do.
