No.3 – Tim Jordan scores two touchdowns

Last week against ETSU Vol fans saw two different running backs score two touchdowns. Jeremy Banks and Madre London both were able to find the end zone twice in their Neyland Stadium debuts.

  • Now, it is Tim Jordan time. The starting running back leads the team in rushing attempts with 35 on the season. He also leads the Vols with 183 rushing yards. But, Jordan doesn’t lead the team in rushing touchdowns thanks to last week.

For our second bold prediction for the game, Tim Jordan will be the running back to score at least two touchdowns.

Through the first two weeks, the Vols look like they are going to be a team that uses running back by committee. I don’t know what the attempts will look like for each guy when Ty Chandler is back and healthy.

Look, the Vols are going to score a lot of points this week. It also helps Jordan’s case that he is going up against one of the worst rushing defenses in the nation. UTEP is giving up around 260 rushing yards per game which rank them 118 in the NCAA.

That’s a weak enough defense that the Vols should have several rushing touchdowns and our bold prediction is Tim Jordan has at least two of them.
