There’s no doubt about this one. The Arkansas Razorbacks are far and away the worst team in the conference, and nobody would disagree with that. It was bad enough to lose to the Colorado State Rams on the road, making them the only team in the league so far to lose to a non-Power Five opponent this year.

But the next week only solidified how bad these guys are. The Hogs got blown out by another non-Power Five team, the North Texas Mean Green, on their home turf. It was embarrassing to the point that Chad Morris coaching may already be coming into question.

What’s clear is that John Chavis has a ton of work to do on the defensive side of the ball. The once longtime Vols defensive coordinator has seen his unit struggle severely early on. Meanwhile, the transition to the spread on the other side of the ball looks like a heck of a lot to overcome.

Simply put, this is a bad team. And it’s hard to see them getting better any time soon. The Razorbacks have to travel to Jordan-Hare this weekend to face the Auburn Tigers, then they have to host the Texas A&M Aggies and Alabama Crimson Tide in back to back weeks. So this team is in for a rough road and clearly at the bottom of the conference right now.
