Tennessee football’s win over the UTEP Miners gave us a better read on the Volunteers. Here is UT’s stock report ahead of the Florida Gators.

There are still a lot of concerns on Rocky Top. But Tennessee football is 2-1 heading into SEC play after blowout wins over the ETSU Bucs and the UTEP Miners. With the Florida Gators coming to town, the energy is back on Rocky Top.

But where do all aspects of the Vols program stand right now heading into the start of conference play? Even though they’ve played three games, it’s hard to determine exactly where this team is at as a program overall in Jeremy Pruitt’s first season.

After all, they were learning brand new systems on both sides of the ball their first game and going up against a Heisman contender in Will Grier with the West Virginia Mountaineers. The next two weeks, they went against an FCS team and the worst team in FBS.

So we don’t know how much improvement has been made to this team, if any. We also don’t know if any is needed to get to six wins considering the extremities of their match-ups to this point. What is clear, though, is some aspects of Tennessee football are clearly standing out above others, and it’s been a clear trend through three games now.

As we get set to bring you the Vols’ stock report following the third week of the 2018 season, those trends are now more clear than ever. Some units have played well consistently no matter the competition, and others have been consistently bad.

Again, stock reports take all aspects of the program into play, from players to coaches to fans. And we have a mix of at least two of those in this week’s report. They range from individual players to overall units to individual coaches.

With SEC play set to begin in order to give us a better read on all of these units, let’s go ahead and break down who really deserves shoutouts…and criticisms through three weeks. This is Tennessee football’s stock report following their win over UTEP.
