No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies at No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide

Saturday, Sept. 22 at 3:30 p.m.; Bryant-Denny Stadium; Tuscaloosa, Ala.

TV: CBS; Line: Alabama -26; Over/Under: 61

I want to say I am excited about this game and it could be one of the best of the weekend. However, Alabama is a 26-point favor. Is it even fair at this point? I can only imagine the line for the Tennessee-Alabama game.

The Crimson Tide have had an average winning margin of 31.75 in their last 20 games. And, as we all know the offense is dynamic. They have outscored their opponents 170-28 this season.

Poor Texas A&M having to play Clemson and Alabama within a two week period. The Aggies lost in controversial fashion against Clemson. However, I don’t think that will be the case against Alabama.

Alabama has shown no signs of slowing down on either side of the ball. They are playing fast and with perfect execution. However, the team they will be facing is a very well-coached team in Texas A&M. This will be a game that will be a tough test for the Crimson Tide.

The Aggies gave Clemson a run for their money. However, this Alabama team is light years ahead of Clemson. Alabama will continue their dominance.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are playing a Top 25 team that nearly beat the No. 2 ranked team in the nation, and they’re a 26-point favorite. How crazy is that? Well, when you give Nick Saban all of his talent plus a playmaker at quarterback, that’s what happens. Add in the fact that he’s going up against one of his former assistants and is at home, and a blowout seems certain.

All conventional wisdom says pick the Tide to cover. I was burned by picking against them to do so the first two weeks. But I don’t care. I’m going to take a risk again and bet on A&M to beat the spread. They did almost beat Clemson, and Jimbo Fisher has something brewing down there. So Alabama wins at home, but they won’t cover. By the way, this game hits the over.
