If you’re Jimbo Fisher, you should have no shame in your team’s 2-2 record. The Texas A&M Aggies played the second best team in the country to the final minutes in the Clemson Tigers. Two weeks later, they may have lost a blowout to the Alabama Crimson Tide. But this Alabama team is blowing out everybody, and with the game in Tuscaloosa, it was an uphill climb from the start.

We’re still dropping this team slightly in our SEC Power Rankings because of the nature of losing a blowout, but this is not likely to be a long-term trend. After all, the Aggies are the first team all season to actually cover against the Tide.

Simply put, every game these guys have played so far was either against a terrible team or a great team. And that continues this week with the Arkansas Razorbacks up. Assuming they take care of business in that game, they get their SEC East slate after that, and those two games will tell us where they really stand.

It starts with a home game against the resurgent Kentucky Wildcats. That, following Arkansas, is a chance to get this team to 4-2. Then these guys take on a big test on the road against the next team in our SEC Power Rankings.
